January 2025 Newsletter

Newsletter victus people

You’re witnessing the first rays of 2025 from Bangkok. We’re not really the “31st Eve” kind of people, we’re more “1st morning” enthusiasts. Or, as Gen. Z might say, we’re total Dayroom vibes. 🤓

With all the gloom and doom around, here’s to hoping 2025 (continues to) bring:

  • More joy to your work
  • More wisdom to your wealth
  • More gratitude to your relationships

Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:

1. SATI Foundation

Our first CSR project as Victus People fills us with pride, thanks to the incredible feedback we received from participants. But don’t just take our word for it, hear it straight from the horse’s mouth:

Isn’t it wonderful when philanthropy truly makes a difference? Of course, we couldn’t have done this alone. There are at least half a dozen people we owe thanks to (which we’ve shared in our post). But here’s one more big thank you from us!

2. Workation

One of the perks of running your own business in 2024; work from anywhere, anytime! We never miss a chance to mix a little R&R with client visits out of town. This time, it was for a major client with over 8,000 employees in Rayong. We’re hoping to deliver culture-based team-building programs to their leadership team in a couple of months. Fingers crossed!

P.S. If you’re in Bangkok and craving a quick getaway, we highly recommend Rayong. While you’re there, don’t miss out Yummay Pizza(charming roadside pizzeria – every bite is worth the visit).

3. Partnerships

If you’re thinking of scaling your business, you need the right partners. It’s a tricky balance, but when it clicks, the rewards are worth it.

We’re currently exploring collaborations with:

  • The founder of an AI platform that keeps teams happy and engaged
  • The founder of an organization helping high-achieving women get promoted
  • A strategic business matchmaker bridging France and Thailand (how fancy is that title?)
  • The founder of a Philippines-based organization promoting emotional and mental fitness in corporate practices

At least three of these opportunities look promising.

4. Executive Presence for Leaders

This was our second-longest program of the year (2 months) and one of the most rewarding. Reading the participants’ feedback truly fills our cup.

On reflection, while many factors contributed to the program’s success, the top 3 were:

  • Take-home tasks with a leaderboard
  • Action plans paired with accountability partners
  • Interactive games

5. First Video Podcast Episode Released

Firsts are always a challenge, and this one was no exception. It took us 24 hours across 3 days to edit, format, and finally release our first video podcast episode.

Surprisingly, the easiest part was shooting and chatting with our guest. When your guest has over 20 years of experience in L&D, all you need to do is ask the right questions and listen like a curious child to a fascinating story.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our first effort. Would you mind sharing them in the YouTube comments?

6. First E-learning Module Recorded

Time is the second most critical resource, after people. We believe these pre-workshop videos will add significant value to our clients.

Insights Discovery Thailand

These videos help:

  • Maximise workshop time by diving straight into the practical stuff
  • Give participants the freedom to absorb content at their own pace
  • Offer Thai language support to make everything easier to understand
  • Start building rapport with participants even before the workshop begins
  • Personalise content to make it more relevant for everyone

We’re excited about how this approach will make the learning experience more effective and easier for everyone involved.

7. How to Make Mandatory Training More Engaging?

That’s the question Donald H Taylor posed in his LinkedIn post. If you’re into L&D, we highly recommend giving it a read. The post has sparked over 100 comments, and we added our own thoughts too. In fact, the author bookmarked our comment. 🤓
